About Carter’s Promise Foundation
Carter’s Promise Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in loving memory of Carter Sean Carey, who lived for just three precious hours after being born prematurely. His mother, Raquilla Carey, turned unimaginable grief into a mission of hope by creating a foundation that walks alongside other grieving mothers.
We exist to ensure that no mother feels alone after the loss of her baby. Rooted in lived experience and fueled by compassion, our organization provides emotional, logistical, and peer support for women navigating the pain of infant loss. Our programs offer real, heartfelt care designed to bring comfort and reconnection—because healing shouldn’t have to happen in silence.
